CDL STUDENT DRIVERS
New Regulation affects all CDL/CLP. We know the new rules so we will upload your medical certificate directly to Tx DPS so you can start your schooling and training to get your CLP.
CDL Holders
Your medical certificate needs to be submitted to TxDPS directly from your Certified Medical Examiners. Our mission is to complete your physical exam and upon completion, we upload directly to DPS within the hour.

What to Expect on DOT Physical
We provide general physical examination to assist in determining whether you are fit to operate commercial vehicle or non-commercial vehicle according to FMCSA DOT Regulations. Our examiners are experience and professionals who can assist with your health conditions and explains any question you have about your healt
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN YOUR DOT PHYSICAL EXAM:
COMPLETE HISTORY EVALUATION
Complete history about your overall health will be discussed including prescription medication, over the counter medications, vitamins, past surgical history, hospital, etc.
VISION EVALUATION
General Vision Screening that will include vision screen with Snellen Eye Chart and color perception (Red, Amber, & Green). On examination, we will check pupillary and light reflex, pupil size, eye movement, peripheral vision, and overall eye health.
Note: Monocular vision does not disqualify you from DOT Medical Card. We can help.
BLOOD PRESSURE CHECK
BLOOD PRESSURE CHECK
Your Blood pressure will taken at the time of examination. You must meet the blood pressure reading standard that is mandated by FMCSA under Rule 391.41(b)(6).
Prescription medication for blood pressure does not disqualify you so long as you take your medication and meet the requirement.
CARDIOVASULAR EXAM
BLOOD PRESSURE CHECK
General examination of your heart to evaluate for overall heart condition which includes tachycardia, bradycardia, arrythmia, murmurs, etc.
PULMONARY EXAM
General examination of your lungs to evaluate for overall lung conditions which include asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, abnormal lung sounds, abnormal respiratory pattern, etc.
HEIGHT & WEIGHT
DOT Physical exam requires collection of your current height and weight for health and safety concern according to FMCSA.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN YOUR DOT PHYSICAL EXAM:
ABDOMINAL EVALUATION
General abdominal evaluation to screen for uncomfortable abdominal pain, hernias, tenderness related to liver organ, kidney stone, or kidney disease, cholecystitis, appendicitis, inguinal hernia, etc.
ORTHOPEDIC EVALUATION
General orthopedic screening to assess your overall muscle strength in upper and lower extremities, or joint pain in upper and lower extremities. General neuromuscular skeletal exams to include gait, stance, posture, etc. Spinal evaluation for scoliosis, kyphosis, lordosis etc. General exam to include sit, stand, squat, etc.

U/A ANALYSIS
DOT Physical exam requires urine dipstick testing of your urine sample to look for overall health of your kidney which includes evaluation of specific gravity, blood in urine, protein in urine and glucose in urine which helps to determine history of diabetes and whether control with medications.

Whisper hearing test will be performed to assist in detection of hearing loss. We also perform overall ear examination to look for excess wax obstruction that can cause hearing loss.
